Welcome to the Haddenham Steam Rally website!
41st Anniversary - 6th & 7th September 2014
Gates open at 9am
Haddenham Steam Rally is a traditional steam and country fair and has something for everyone. Whether you are an avid steam enthusiast or just looking for a day out with the family there is something for all to enjoy. There are over 600 exhibits from steam engines, Vintage Cars, stationary engines, vintage tractors and Lorries, to the old tyme fair, which for some years has included Rules steam driven Gallopers, one of the finest sets in the country and Ken Foxes world famous "Wall of Death". We have been honoured over the years to have had some rare and famous exhibits visit us. These have included the Fowler SRL 15657 IRON MAIDEN as seen in the 1960's film of the same name and the pair of Walsh & Clark Parafin engines, usually found at the museum of East Anglian Life to name but a few. The rally also boasts over 75 trade stands, a craft tent, a large selection of catering stands, bygones tent and a beer tent.
The extremely popular Heavy Horse show will celebrate its 27th anniversary on Sunday 7th September, 2014 with competitors coming from all over the country to compete.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and accessible rally. We have an event which we feel appeals to all. Each year we include a special display or guest. The most memorable have been the west country folk legends the Wurzels playing live in 2008, and a special display of equipment, photographs and literature of the local firm Darby's of Sutton in 2009. In 2013 the rally celebrated its 40th Anniversary, its most successful show to date. Record crowds enjoyed over 700 exhibits including 5 steam engines that attended the 1st show in 1971.
The Haddenham Steam Rally, celebrating its 41st Year in 2014, will be held on 6th and 7th September. We have been on the same site alongside the A1421 for over 30 years. Please click How To Find Us for directions and a map to the showground.
Haddenham Steam Rally has grown year on year through the hard work of its committee and volunteers. We are sure this year will be no different. The rally is committed to helping the local community and supports many of the village clubs & causes. The rally has also made many donations to major charitable organisations including East Anglian Air Ambulance, the Make a Wish Foundation & the St John's Ambulance.
